Members are advised that the 69th Annual General Meeting of the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) will be held on Saturday 22 November 2025, commencing at 11:00am, at Como House & Garden, Corner Williams Rd & Lechlade Ave South Yarra

How to get here

Como House is located in South Yarra, about 6km (4 miles) southeast of Melbourne. The closest train station is South Yarra, from which you can walk to Como House (about 15 minutes) or hop on the tram (no. 58) to Como Avenue/Toorak Road right nearby.

How do I register to attend the AGM?

To register your attendance at the 2025 AGM at Como House & Garden, please RSVP by 5:00pm, Friday 14 November at rsvp@nattrust.com.au or phone (03) 9656 9889. 

How do I register an apology for the AGM? 

You register an apology with the office of the National Trust. To do this, please either email rsvp@nattrust.com.au or call (03) 9656 9800 and advise us of your apology. Your apology will be noted at the 2025 AGM. 

You must advise us of your apology by 11:00 am Thursday 20 November 2025. 

Will the Chairman and Board Directors be in attendance?

Yes, the Chair and the Board will be in attendance. Directors invite you join them for light refreshments following the formal proceedings 

When will I receive the Notice of AGM?

Important change to distribution of meeting documents. 

Members are advised that since 1 April 2022, there have been permanent amendments to the Corporations Act which enable dispatch of electronic communications for Annual General Meetings (AGM).

Pursuant to this amendment, the 2025 National Trust of Australia (Victoria) Notice of AGM, supporting papers and proxy forms will be distributed electronically and available on our website from Monday 20 October 2025.

All members who have previously registered an email with the NTAV will be sent an electronic copy. 

By law, members may make a standing or an ad hoc election (whether or not in writing) to receive meeting documents: 

  1. in physical form (hard copy) or
  2. in electronic form (by email)

Members may also request that they not be sent the Annual Report including financial information. 

We encourage members to update their contact information and confirm if and how they wish to receive meeting information with our Membership department: membership@nattrust.com.au or (03) 9656 9830 

Will there be a virtual AGM this year?

There is no virtual element to the AGM for 2025. The AGM will be held in person only. Members can be assured that the event will be COVID safe, and will be adherent to any appropriate government directives at the time.  

Members will be advised should any changes need to be made to the meeting location or date.  

How to a lodge my Proxy form?

This process is performed the same as previous years. Please print and return or email.   

Proxy forms will be distributed electronically and available on our website from Monday 20 October 2025.

If you intend to appoint a proxy, such as the Chairman, to be effective, you must return your proxy form no later than 11.00am on Thursday 20 November 2025 to the following address:National Trust of Australia (Victoria), 6 Parliament Place, East Melbourne, VIC, 3002; or email the form to rsvp@nattrust.com.au

To be eligible, your proxy form must be returned to the Office of the National Trust of Australia Victoria by 11.00 am on Thursday 20 November 2025. 

Please note we will only officially record one proxy form from your membership number, please let us know if you have already sent one in, and/or if it has been filled out incorrectly. 

Where do I send my proxy form?

What time should I arrive on the day?

The property will be open from 10:00 am for Members to arrive.

We ask that you please arrive with enough time to be seated ready for the meeting to formally commence at 11:00 am.  

Can I get a printed copy of the 2025 Annual report?

This year we are providing members with access to a digital copy of the Annual Report. This will be published on the NTAV website on Monday 20 October 2025. A digital copy will also be emailed to Members on this same day.

Can I access Como House & Garden via public transport?

The following transport lines have routes that pass near Como House & Gardens.

  • Bus: Routes 603 & 605
  • Train: Nearest Station (South Yarra/Hawksburn) on the Frankston, Pakenham and Cranbourne lines or Sandringham Lines (South Yarra Station only)
  • Tram: Route 58

The site will be accessible via either driveway on the day. There is wheelchair access to the ground floor of the Mansion.
